Claire Dale

Claire’s first career was as a choreographer and movement director for theatre and she now works full-time as a consultant and coach in business in communication skills and management development. She specialises in embodiment and voice and has developed Physical Intelligence, a product based in neuroscience for the training market. Her work encourages clients to explore how they function and communicate through their physical behaviour. She offers workshops and coaching that help individuals enhance their business performance by helping them to deal with stress, explore and overcome boundaries and unlock creativity and support lasting change.

Claire is a graduate of the Laban Centre and her training is in Contemporary Dance, Anatomical Release Technique, Yoga and Classical Ballet. She has also studied Voice with Yvonne Morley formerly Head of Voice at LAMDA. In addition she draws on knowledge of the Alexander Technique, Laban Movement Analysis and studies in Dance and Critical Analysis at MA level at Surrey University in Guildford. Claire is an experienced facilitator and inspirer of large and small-scale dance projects. She has been working in the corporate field for 11 years, teaching how our movement, body language and voice relate to the business world and influence our performance at work.

She has run communication skills training for groups and individuals across the public and private sector and her portfolio includes Société Générale, Coca-Cola, SAGE UK, National Express, Sony, Cabinet Office, NHS, BNY Mellon and McLaren. Claire also delivers regular projects at a top global investment bank. For the RADA suite of courses, Claire has co-designed and co-leads the Leadership Masterclass, an intensive personal impact experience for Senior Executives, and she loves leading the regular 2-day Personal Impact in Meetings (PIM) course that offers individuals a chance to gain impact and influence in day-to-day work scenarios.

In a brief return to choreography for the stage, Unexpected Opera’s production of ‘Opera Naked’ was nominated for a prestigious ‘Offie’ award in February 2013.

"Claire was an inspirational and hugely supportive coach. Great training or coaching delivered with talent is rare – the time with Claire was exceptional."
